Creating Power In The Golf Swing
Dec 06, 2021
One thing we know about the best ball strikers in the world is that they tend to have a fair amount of length and extension to the club the arms and the body through impact.
If you’re someone who struggles with poor ball contact, there’s a good chance that either your arms are bunching up or your hips are staying too far back through the shot
If this sounds like you, here is a great drill to help you out before your next round of golf:
- In the address position, slide the golf club up so it works straight into your belly.
- Then, pivot your body forward and up, so when you finish the motion the club is pointing up and above the target from there simply slide the golf club up into its normal position.
- By doing so you’ll notice that my weights on my lead side my pelvis is nice and forward my arms are extended and my chest finishing tall giving you a great feeling of where we would like to see you finish through the shot.
- Once you’ve done that simply make some small swings next to the ball working to recreate that feeling.
