Golf: How To Hit High And Low Pitch Shots

I’m going to show you an easy way to change the height of those short game shots to help you, at home, pitch just like the pros.

The best golfers in the world are the masters at creating multiple solutions to every shot they’re faced with around the greens. This means that they can, on command, launch the ball high, launch the ball low, add spin and even take spin off.

Now, let’s talk about the ways you can alter the trajectory of your pitch shots to give you greater success around the greens:

  1. Starting with the low shot, the more you move the handle of this wedge both back and through, it is going to deal off the club at impact. That is when this club strikes the ball, the handle tend to be leaning further forward than the head. The ball launches lower and releases out towards the pin.

  2. The opposite is true as well when we’re looking for a higher and softer landing ball flight. We want to feel like we’re swinging the head of the golf club a lot more than the handle. By doing so, the wrists are going to enable us to create more speed and as the club strikes the ball, the handle will turn into a more vertical position. The ball will pop up high and stop in a shorter amount of time.
