Perfect Lob Shots

Struggling around the greens? I’m here to give you a quick tip on how to improve those lob shots.

One of the main causes for poorly struck log shots is when players use the leading edge of the golf club and they get it descending too sleepily down and into the ground. A lot of the time this has got to do with how we set up to the golf ball .

So here are a few tips to help you ensure that you use the bounce of the club or the part of the wedge that’ll get this golf club just sliding nicely through the grass.

Here’s a quick summary of the Perfect Lob Shot techniques to master before your next round of golf:

  1. Your feet need to be as wide as the golf club head is long
  2. Make sure that the ball is positioned up on the instep of the front foot
  3. Ensure that you can see your shirt buttons positioned up over the ball
  4. And a final tip: get the butt into the grip pointing directly at your belt buckle. By doing so you’ll notice that you get a certain cupping in this lead wrist that when playing this shot it’s as simple as focusing on maintaining that cup.
